Good sisters Kiko Mizuhara and Yuka, who are also attracting attention as fashion icons. In Shibuya PARCO, a sacred place for fashion and culture, they visited shops that are environmentally friendly and human-friendly and sustainable, and thought about enjoying fashion without putting a burden on the natural environment. The POP UP store "OK PLAZA" hosted by them is also full of sustainable hints. Along with the shop report, we will deliver the voices of our sisters.

"OK" hosted by Kiko Mizuhara
Limited-time shop "OK PLAZA" will be held
The project “OK” launched by Kiko Mizuhara will hold a limited-time POP UP store “OK PLAZA” at Shibuya PARCO. The light blue, yellow, and white pop color tiles blink with neon lights, and the interior of the store with a nostalgic mood with a futuristic and nostalgic mood is fully open to the "OK" world. The works created by friends and creators from all over the world who Kiko Mizuhara sympathized for this POP UP shop were gathered together.
※The POP UP store is now closed.

The theme is “Earth Friendly Handmade and Art”
"I learned about the negative aspects of the fashion industry, such as the environment-friendly manufacturing scene, and it became impossible to ignore the problems I said when making clothes. Because I am in the fashion industry, I hope that cooperating with companies and organizations that consider the global environment will trigger attention to environmental issues, so we held "OK PLAZA"." The cardigan she wore on that day was produced with Nakano Co., Ltd., a textile recycling company. It is a self-confidence work that is made of cloth garbage, which cannot be used as a distribution of used clothes or overseas relief supplies, over a machine and knitted with felt yarn by hand. "If you look closely, it's cute because the fibers of various colors are mixed. It was an experimental effort because it was a recycled fiber that I had never used in clothes before."

I bought it by fashionable eyes,
Select items that consider environmental and social contribution
We recommend a bag that dismantles used clothes fleeces for children and patchwork, or a mesh bag dyed with organic cotton. The kitsch items lined up in stores are only made from items that have been reborn from disposable items and non-chemical materials that have no negative impact on the environment through recycling and reuse. The T-shirt uses the body of the PBP Cotton Project, which will be used to help Indian cotton farmers turn into organic cultivation, as well as to provide scholarships for children to go to school and places to learn in areas without schools.

I met on Instagram from a friend’s creator
Develop limited products to new artists
"We spoke to friends who can share the spirit and creativity of 'OK' and creators who caught my eye on Instagram. We had them specially produce items that are sustainable and express their minds, and sold them exclusively for POP UP." A total of 8 creators participated. Photographers Monica Motegi (@monimogi), Taiwan-born artist Ten Yoon Nhan (@han_teng), Happy van Peiyuuue (@peiyuuue), Marland Bacchus (@marlandbackus) from New York, who made chokers and knit bags, illustrator Anna Watanabe (@massivecrush), Emma Gasper (@ema_b_g), and 99 (@happyline).

Learning environmental issues is lifework.
Seeing dialogues with friends and watching movies, and collecting information on your own.
"I dyed a T-shirt that I no longer wear during COVID-19 self-restraint. I tore it and weave it into a carpet. You've made a stuffed animal with that cloth." "The moment I looked at the stuffed toy, I felt like I had a life, and I felt very lovely. I was very happy that the stuffed animals were sold out on the first day! I'd like to continue to make more cute things." (Yuka). We always exchange information with friends, and we do not neglect to collect information ourselves. I often watch the documentary that raises questions, especially the work that remains in my mind is the movie The True Costfast Fashion Real Price. "I hope that the shift of 'OK' items to earth-friendly ones little by little will be a message to those who hold hands. It’s fun to explore new forms of fashion, and I think it’s challenging to make things that are less impactful to the environment than just create something cool.”

Sister Suweon, who is conscious of such sustainable products, will go to Shibuya PARCO stores where they sympathize with manufacturing and initiatives. Report what kind of initiatives and products you have found.
