AMIAYA x Izakaya Masaka | Enjoy healthy fried chicken and dumplings at a vegan izakaya.

A vegan dish that is now indispensable as a food culture for inbound tourists. The next two people who work with overseas creators visited Japan's first vegan izakaya "Masaka". The cozy interior of the store is comfortable to stop by quickly. In fact, AIAYA says he loves izakaya cuisine. What is the menu that you chose to accompany lemon sour?

(from the upper left) Stir-fried potato pepper ¥550, meat miso sprouts ¥550, cucumber onion ginger ¥550.
6 fried chicken (in order from the lower left) <Sichuan Maurit> ¥700, gyoza 6 ¥650, 6 fried chicken <Grated radish> ¥700.

It is said that these small plates are made of vegetables.…!
"Masaka" is an izakaya marked by retro red Japanese shop curtain.

AMAYA stopped by the B1F restaurant floor "CHAOS KITCHEN". Attracted by the savory smell, I entered the place where the tasteful Japanese shop curtain is a nostalgic izakaya "Masaka". "Actually, I like a retro izakaya with red lanterns, and the space where I can relax without hesitation is very calm. I was also worried that fried chicken and gyoza can be eaten with vegan food" (AYA). "I'm happy for women to be healthy and crisp despite being responsive. There are many vegan foods that look like a cafe menu, but here you can eat izakaya menus such as gyoza and fried chicken, so I'm satisfied with them."

The fried chicken made with soybean meat has a firm texture and the stomach is very satisfied.

First of all, we ordered fried chicken, a specialty of "Masaka". Pakri, what's the taste? "It's just like the texture of chicken breast, it's tight and it's amazing to eat. If you don't say it, you may not notice that it is made of soybeans." (AYA). There are 5 kinds of fried chicken sauce. If you like refreshing, we recommend grated radish, and black vinegar if you like it. In addition, there are Sichuan hemp, oil gourd, and terimayo, so you can compare them with them. "Every sauce is delicious, but I like grated radish. Well, but black vinegar is also spicy and hard to throw away.……。 I can't choose it!" (AMI)

Non-alcoholic sour lemon <sweet> ¥450

Toast with non-alcoholic lemon sour today! The refreshing taste goes well with healthy dumplings.

The specialty of the restaurant, lemon sour, has a fluffy flavor of handmade syrup pickled lemons. There are a wide variety of things such as dry, sweet, and non-alcoholic, so you can enjoy it in the mood at that time. Fresh lemon sour and hot dumplings go great! AMIAYA says that they like to drink together. "This time it's non-alcoholic, but next time I'd like to come private and enjoy lemon sours with alcohol, gyoza and fried chicken" (AYA).

A collection photo of "Saka" taken by the store manager. The surreal sense of the slope with "Shinsaka" is also wonderful.

An old-fashioned retro store that seems to be crowded in the back of an alley somewhere. Orthodox tables, round chairs, seasonings, plates, etc.…It has a nostalgic atmosphere like I saw in a tavern in the city. When the order is decided by looking at the menu table written in quaint vermilion brush letters, check the product name on the order slip with a pencil and hand it over. In addition, pay attention to the photo collection of the slope in Tokyo taken by the store manager on the wall in front of the WEST elevator, right behind the shop. Next to the photo is an astringent message that can be said to be a lesson of life.

In addition to enjoying Japan's unique izakaya culture, it is also perfect for overseas guests with many vegans!

Two people who have exchanges with overseas creators. When guests come to Japan, they are often confused about choosing a store. "It's wonderful to be able to enjoy both vegans and those who don't, because they get satisfaction," (AMI). "You can also enjoy the atmosphere of Japanese izakaya, so it will be appreciated by overseas guests. Let's bring Daltanian next time (laughs)." In addition to "Masaka", B1F CHAOS KITCHEN is lined with unique restaurants, cafes, bars, etc. If you want to drink a ladder…? "First eat gyoza here…After pinch the meat miso sprouts on lemon sour and ladder it to "Kushikatsu Arata"! I think it's fun. It may be nice to enjoy coffee and sweets slowly at the next "Hamanoya Parlor"! " (AYA)。 Why don't you follow the recommended route of AMIAYA and feel the culture of new food?
