The men's store, which opened on the 2nd floor of Shibuya PARCO on April 18, will be a large store that brings together COMME des GarÇons SHIRT, COMME des GarÇons HOMME DEUX, and BLACK COMME des GarÇONS.

Tatsuya Wakaba wears "COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT" and wears all-white to shoot. The unique texture of the "polyester shrinkage", which is now familiar with the brand, creates a sense of relaxation.

This is the second time that Wakaba has appeared in PARCO CRUISE. The first appearance was in the 2022 movie "God Asks for Rewards." Now that about three years have passed, I asked him about his growth and changes in his mind.

"No, I'm already sad.…That's not (laughs). I am not a person who can easily grow. But basically, nothing has changed since that time about what we are aiming for and what we value. I think that you will not change, or that you will not grow badly.”

It sounds like an easy-going, but his heart is always staring at himself. A shy heart that senses things delicately—that is the great charm of the expressor Tatsuya Wakaba.
"What you don't have" looks overwhelmingly cool. For example, in today's shooting, you put on fashionable clothes and lie down.……Actually, I was very embarrassed (laughs). People who can do it normally are cool, right? I admire a little because I feel like I'm living with a feeling of temperature that I don't have at all.
I don't usually feel embarrassed about making roles. I don't know how to make a role. I am embarrassed to say, “I don’t know,” and I feel ashamed of myself. So, the option of not talking about the play (laughs). When I hear impressions from those who have seen the work, it is a moment when I think "I'm glad I made it." I'm nervous when I'm filming, and I'm embarrassed to be seen by many people……But when the film is over, I am happy to hear the voices of those who enjoy it.”

Drawing the "real" and "kenzen" of Kyoto people
The movie "Bubuzukegata Udosu"

The movie "Bubuzukega Udosu", which will be released from June 6 (Fri), is a cinical comedy set in Kyoto, an ancient city that attracts people all over the world. The turmoil caused by Madoka Shibusawa, the protagonist of a free writer who loved Kyoto so much that he ran out to become the most understander of Kyoto. Wakaba plays the role of a university professor who sends a radical ale that is strangely radical.

“The finished film was very interesting. It's been nearly 10 years since I met the director, Tominaga, and I'll show you more than we expect. It's exciting to show you a new world. Since it was a work that was completed by sharing time, I imagined a certain extent and watched the movie, "Is it finished like this?", But something that did not fit at all in our brains was projected on the screen. I thought it was wonderful. The Kyoto people's "Kenzen" and "real" are depicted, and I thought, "I've never met such a ugly person in Kyoto" (laughs). But is it really real, fantasy or real?……It's funny that I don't know. I’m most interested in seeing what kind of reaction you have.”

“Living as you want.
If you fail, you will still be convinced.”

At the end of the interview, when I asked, "What is the ideal form of working style and living style?", I thought for a while after the words "It's big at the end (laughs)", he told me the answer with a straight line of sight.

"I grew up since I was born, what I thought, drew, personality, etc.……。 From the general point of view, there are some parts that are denied as "no use". But now, the era where no use was allowed has passed, and various things have become ruined. Also, as it is beginning to be said that most jobs will replace AI, I wonder if individuality and time are becoming valuable. That's why I'm thinking, "I really want to live as I like." That's me. I care about someone's eyes and work hard, but eventually technology and war.……When a lot of things happen and I have to let go of everything, I think it's most regrettable that I gave it off at someone's surrender. If so, I think it would be better to live as you like and fail as you wish. Somehow, I was thinking about that.”
