2F NANZUKA 2G <Art>James Jarvis “Transcendental Idealism”

"Transcendental Idealism" was held at NANZUKA 2G in PARCO, Shibuya, Shibuya.

This exhibition will be a joint project with PARCO ART WEEK, as well as a solo exhibition at 3110 NZ by LDH Kitchen in Nakameguro and two venues simultaneously.
James Jarvis was born in 1970 and works as an artist based in U.K. London, and is widely known in Japan through collaborations with Amos, NIKE, Uniqlo, and IKEA.

In this exhibition, we will present flat works using kolor acrylic plates representing "Mosh Pit", which shows how they collide violently at a punk band live, and sculptures representing skateboarders who have determined their skills.

GALLERY X – Reality & Fantasy The World of Tom of Finland

GALLERY X is pleased to present Japan's first solo exhibition "Reality & Fantasy The World of Tom of Finland" by Finland (1920-1991), a Finnish artist who advocated LGBTQ rights for art depicting gays. Tom of Finland is influential not only in the LGBTQ community but also in the art world. We are planning to exhibit 30 original works of Tom of Finland, which will be unveiled for the first time in Japan.
The exhibition will be co-hosted by the Finnish Center, the Embassy of Finland in Japan, the TOM OF FINLAND Foundation, The Container and PARCO. The exhibition is curated as a curator based in Tokyo, and is in charge of Shii O'Hayon, director of his gallery The Container. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Tom of Finland (#TOMs100).
This exhibition will be part of the 1st anniversary of Shibuya PARCO.

※The exhibition was originally scheduled to start in late April, but has been postponed due to the spread of COVID-19.

4F PARCO MUSEUM TOKYO <Art> Asada Photography Bureau

In an exhibition that spreads the world of the latest photo book "Asada Shoko Bureau Mannen" released for the first time in Japan, Masashi Asada's own son "Asahi" met a person who seems to be lucky and went to the place to "millennium". I want you to be happy for a long time,” he puts his universal wish as a father.
However, in reality, it is not possible to live for 1,000 or 100 years, so I am often photographing the form of memories that convey the life I go around with photos and looking for the image of my father's "Chapter".
And at the photo studio-style shooting spot set up in the venue, it is a unique photo exhibition "see, take, and leave" where you can return home with a special memory of today.

8F HOBO Nichiyobi <Art> Katsusuke Nishina Photo Exhibition 1741 Hometown

Do you know how many “municipalities” there are in Japan?
There are also 1741.
We will hold a photo exhibition by Katsusuke Nishina (commonly known as Katsuo), who has been visiting all of them for two years while studying at university.

"I don't just pass through the town I visited, but look at myself and take pictures."
As a decision on the trip, Katsuo traveled all over Japan.
The means of transportation is a motorcycle. Get on the blue Super Cub.

In 1741 municipalities, each one is the home of someone.

You couldn't go home this summer.
For you.
Please take a look at the photos you took at the venue.
