A handwritten font-style flyer that you often see at Japanese reggae events.
This hand-drawn style is famous for the one created by SASSAFRASS in Jamaica, and the original, especially the sound system flyer in Jamaica from 80s to 90s mainly focused on this style.
This time, the exhibition will focus on handwritten flyers such as vintage flyer of sound system owned by HASE-T, KILLAMANJARO, STONE LOVE, etc. Also, there are a lot of reggae record jackets that can be called art works. The representative illustrator is LIMONIOUS (Limonas).
With the cooperation of Coco-isle MUSIC MARKET, a record shop in Shibuya, we will carefully select and display jackets from an art perspective. (Scheduled to be sold.)
On the first day of the exhibition, on October 6 (Fri), an opening DJ party was held with reggae as a keyword, inviting people who are active in various fields.
On the last day of October 9th (Mon./holiday), RANKIN TAXI will host a talk session with HASE-T and a DJ party with guest selectors.
