A strange dream world

JW Anderson’s Men’s Spring Summer 2025 and Women’s Resort 2025 is based on the theme of “Lucid Dream.” I explored landscapes in dreams, strange and absurd ideals. It is a strange and absurd dream world imagined by a half-awakened or half-sleep brain. Dressing the viewer, giving a sense of reality to the wearer while expressing the duality of such clothes with attractive materials.

"When I filmed the jacket of Japan's 1st single, Yura-Flower of Destiny", I wore JW Anderson's pants. When I put it on, it became a bright atmosphere and I remember that it was very enjoyable. I felt it was a differentiated brand with exciting elements, different from others,” says Park Gonuk, who recalls his encounter with JW ANDERSON. In connection with this collection on the theme of "dream" this season, I asked about the dream I had recently seen.
"I think a dream is a phenomenon that comes out of the unconscious mind. What you want to do, what you are impressed, what you want, or what you are afraid of.……。 It appears as a dream that is not clearly understood within oneself. It's interesting because unconscious emotions suddenly appear in dreams. Recently, I dreamed of playing together in my hometown where I was born and raised with a local friend. Very nostalgic, in a place of memories.”

In Tasha's polo knit with the motif of British architecture worn by Gonuku is also a piece that depicts a strange and surreal sight that appears in dreams. The twisted tops are coordinated with a dark gray wide denim that is perfect for your current mood.
"Because it's a brand that develops both men's and ladies, the fit is very good. Also, when I actually put on clothes, the silhouette looks really like now! I was impressed that the belt was casually designed on the hem of the denim, and that the casual playfulness in the details was like JW ANDERSON," says Gonuk.

Inconsistencies between “strength” and “weakness”

“If you compare yourself to color, purple. Purple is a color that can be mixed with red and blue, but at first glance, "red" and "blue" seem to be the opposite. But if they are combined, it will be a beautiful color of purple—I myself am a person who is like a combination of such opposite parts. It is tall and the body is large, so it looks a little strong. The members also said that my first impression was "I was scared" (laughs). But as I spend this time with everyone, I have tears.……Now everyone understands my weakest part. The inconsistencies between strength and weakness are in me, so I think I’m purple.”

The "loafer bag" that Gonuk has is a new bag that is attracting attention this season. Inspired by a classic penny loafer, he sublimated the shoe details into a bag. The small playfulness of hand stitching on the side, like a loafer reproduction, creates an accent for the style.

“I think you are a cool guy, veteran. I highly respect those who have been doing one thing for a long time, such as veteran actors. Being here for a long time means that we have worked so hard and we can prove it. I think it's very blessed to be able to continue doing my favorite job. So I want to be a singer who has been active for a long time and is called a “vieter” by everyone.

I love the movie "My Intern" very much. It is a story that a retired man works as an intern under a young female CEO, but I thought it was wonderful that he did not hesitate to take on the challenge. Also, from those who have accumulated experience, we have a lot to learn from young people, and vice versa, even those who have a lot of life experience can continue to learn new things no matter how old they are.……This movie taught me that learning life has no end.”
