GANNI is a fashion brand born in Copenhagen, Denmark. We minimize the impact on the global environment, adopt sustainable organic materials and upcycle fabrics, and create modern clothes. The Spring and Summer 2025 collection, which was released last September, was held in Paris for the first time. It was also talked about the fact that we invited two up-and-coming designers, Niklas Skoveguard from Copenhagen and Claire Sullivan based in New York, and co-produced look.
The collection, based on the theme of "The Craft," incorporates conflicting elements such as masculine and feminine, tailored and sier into the look, and sublimated the romantic and cheerful "GANNI Girl" into an adult "GANNI Woman".
On March 20 (Thursday), the long-awaited first directly managed store in Japan opened on the 3rd floor of Shibuya PARCO. "GANNI's image is healthy. And it's gorgeous, but pretty daggy. I feel that it is very like North Europe. There was such a feeling in the store, and I thought it was very nice," says Rina Ota.

The XXL Hobo Bag, released in the Spring and Summer 2025 collection, is an item that attracts attention as a new icon bag of GANNI. Evolution of "Bou Bag", which has gained cult popularity, and has been expanded to oversized tote bags. From the side of the bag to the handle, the corset-like lace-up, mirror hand tags, and silver tone metal fittings create a sophisticated impression. The setup of the blouse and long skirt worn by Ota is an eternal style with a polka dot pattern. The stretchable recycled polyester blouse inspired by the corset draws a constructive shoulder line and an asymmetric hemline, and the elaborate design that allows everyone to create a beautiful silhouette when they pass through the sleeves.
"The comfort of this two-piece dress was really good, so I think it can be worn on a daily basis. When it gets warm, I want to wear this and go out to somewhere actively. Basically, I'm in STANCE, "wear what I really want to wear," the type I love for a long time. I don't want to put out clothes to dispose of, so I want to choose clothes that I think I want to wear for many years."

Rina Ota has been active as a model since the age of 13. In more than 20 years of career, she says there are scenes that she cannot forget. It was also the moment when the bud as an artist blossomed.
"When I was a high school student, I was shooting "PURPLE" and wearing a unique pink coat of a brand. It was so cute that I first remembered the feeling of "ficking clothes" at that time. It's my first time to wear high-brand clothes and shoot. I was very surprised to know the price during shooting (laughs). "There is a world that I don't know." I was very happy to have the feeling of wearing adult clothes as a child. It's like you're in a dream…"If you become an adult, you can wear these clothes," she said. When I learned that I could express myself with clothes and create a world view and a woman image, I felt very excited. I want to wear more clothes sooner. Even now, the photos and clothes are clearly remembered, and if you find that coat somewhere now, you want to get it! I also learned for the first time that the feeling that fashion is good for me. Through the filming, I felt that I wanted to wear various clothes to make myself comfortable and happy.
Fashion enhances you, makes you feel excited, and strengthens you. When I stretched a little and wore a dress that seemed beautiful…That special feeling! Fashion is close to your own alter ego. When I wear my favorite clothes, I feel like I'm supporting myself. In the past, there was a feeling of wearing clothes instead of armor, but now I feel a little lighter than armor."
Ota goes to the spring town, wearing a trench, which is also a trend item for this season. She wears a supple camel trench coat that has bonded organic cotton, announced at the Spring Summer Runway in 2025. A book that has expanded her imagination since childhood. When I was hospitalized at an early age, it was an adventurous world masterpiece that invited her feelings to a "world I haven't seen yet."
"I'm bored, so I started reading books by myself. I read fantasy such as "Robinson Crewso" and "The Adventure of Sindbad" and "I can expand my world like this!" And I remember that I was very influenced by it. When I was 17 years old, I received "Ged Senki" from stylist Aya Tanizaki, which is also a memorable book in me. I realize that there are people's activities and people's emotions in a world that I don't know at all. At the same time, I thought "I can do anything" and my life was very rich."
At first glance, Ota looks cool, but it's actually rich in emotions. An emotional sense has grown up myself. At the end she asked her ideal way of life and human image.
"A way of life that does not accumulate what I thought at that time. It's very simple, but it's pretty important in my life. If you accumulate it, you'll eventually explode. That's why I like people who have emotions and emotions. I also like to be angry (laughs). Of course, there are many different types of anger, but I think such people are also very attractive."
