The long-awaited GANNI store in Japan
Opened on Shibuya PARCO 3F!
GANNI is a fashion brand based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Minimizes the impact on the global environment, adopts sustainable organic materials and upcycle fabrics to create modern clothes. The Spring/Summer 2025 collection, which was announced last September, will be held in Paris for the first time. Niklas Skovgard from Copenhagen and Clare Sullivan, based in New York, were invited to co-produce the look.
The collection on the theme of "The Craft" incorporates conflicting elements such as masculine and feminine, tailored and sheer into the look, and sublimates the romantic and cheerful "GANNI Girl" into an adult-like "GANNI Woman".
On March 20 (Thursday), the long-awaited first directly managed store in Japan will open on the 3rd floor of Shibuya PARCO. It reflects the brand's will that "Sustainable Social Responsibility is our moral duty," and interiors are decorated with original displays and decorations using recycled plastic, recycled rubber, and locally sourced recycled fabrics. The store offers a full lineup of ready-to-wear, accessories, bags, shoes, etc., including the latest collection from spring and summer 2025, so you can fully enjoy the world view of GANNI.
“GANNI’s image is healthy. It's gorgeous, but pretty eggy. I feel that it looks very North Europe. There was such a feeling in the store, and I thought it was very nice,” says Rina Ota.

The XXL Hobo Bag, presented at the Spring/Summer 2025 collection, is an item that attracts attention as a new icon bag of GANNI. Evolution of "Bou Bag" which is gaining popularity as cult, and expanded to oversize tote bags. From the side of the bag to the handle, the corset-like lace-up, mirror hand tags, and silver tone metal fittings create a sophisticated impression. The set-up of the blouse and long skirt worn by Ota is an eternal style with a polka dot pattern. The stretchy recycled polyester blouse, inspired by the corset, draws a constructive shoulder line x asymmetric hemeline, and the elaborate design that allows everyone to create a beautiful silhouette when they pass through the sleeves.
"The comfort of this two-piece dress was really good, so I think I can wear it on a daily basis. When it gets warm, I want to wear this and go out actively somewhere. Basically, in STANCE, “I wear what I really want to wear,” I love what I love forever. I don't want to put out clothes that I want to wear for years, so I want to choose clothes that I want to wear for years."

Rina Ota has been active as a model since the age of 13. In more than 20 years of career, she says there is a scene that she can't forget. It was also the moment when the bud as an expressiver blossomed.
"When I was in high school, when I was shooting 'PURPLE' and wearing a brand's unusual pink coat. It was so cute, and for the first time I remembered the feeling of "blushing on clothes" at that time. This is the first time I have been wearing high-brand clothes. I was very surprised to know the price while shooting (laughs). "There is a world you don't know." I was very happy with the feeling that I was wearing adult clothes as a child. Something like in a dream…"When you grow up, you can wear these clothes," I feel like my dream is expanding. When I learned that I could express myself with clothes or create a worldview and a woman image, I felt very excited. I want to wear more clothes soon. Even now, I remember the pictures and clothes clearly, and if I find that coat somewhere now, I want to get it! At that time, I also learned about the feeling that fashion is good for myself. Through the shooting, I felt that I wanted to wear various clothes to make myself feel comfortable and happy.
Fashion is something that enhances you, makes you excited and enjoyable, and strengthens you. When I was stretching a little and wearing clothes that seemed beautiful.…That special feeling! Fashion is close to your body, isn't it? When you wear your favorite clothes, you feel like you are supporting your inner self. In the past, there was a feeling of wearing clothes instead of armor, but now it feels a little lighter than armor."
Wearing a trench that is also a trend item for this season, Ota will go to the spring town. She wears a sturdy camel trench coat with bonding on an organic cotton, announced at the Spring/Summer Runway in 2025. Volumey puff sleeves, 2-stage eyelet belts placed on high waist, etc.…The GANNI-like sweetness and spices are also effective for the permanent standard item.

Emotional feeling that enriches
A book that has expanded her imagination since childhood is a book. When I was hospitalized when I was young, it was a masterpiece of adventure that I invited her feelings to a "world I haven't seen yet."
“Because I was bored, I started reading a book alone. I read fantasies such as Robinson Crusoe and the Adventure of Sindbad the Sailor and said, ‘This is how my world can be expanded!’ And I remember that I was very influenced. When I was 17 years old, I received "Ged Warki" from stylist Aya Tanizaki, and it became one of my memorable books. I realize that even in a world that I do not know at all, there are people's activities and there are people's emotions. At the same time, I thought, ‘I can do anything,’ and my life became very rich.’
At first glance, Mr. Ota looks cool, but he is actually very emotional. Emotional feeling has grown itself. Finally, I asked her about her ideal way of life and human image.
"A way of life that does not accumulate what I thought at that time. It's very simple, but it's important in my life. If it accumulates, it will eventually explode. That's why I like people who have so much sadness. I also like being angry (laughs). Of course, there are many different types of anger, but I think those people are also very attractive.”
