The Global Boys Group JO1 made its major debut in 2020. In December of the same year, he participated in the Mnet Asia Music Awards 2020 (commonly known as MAMA), one of Asia's largest music awards ceremonies, and was awarded the "Best New Asia Artist Award", attracting attention not only in Japan but also worldwide. Member Ruhime Shiraiwa shop cruises "beautiful people" in search of new fashion this spring. I came across a collection that unleashed fixed concepts with love and passion for making clothes and brought new things together.

Free from fixed concepts. The beautiful people
New Designs and New Functionality

From high-quality materials, skillful patterns, and polite sewing, "beautiful people" are attractive for making things that Japanese craftsmanship breathes. The theme of the Pre-Spring 2024 Collection is “Free from Stereotypes”: Free from fixed concepts. We have a stereotyped image in our brain, such as “British” or “This is the atmosphere of the West Coast,” but we propose a free creation that can be created by changing a universal perspective with the stereotyped opposite. New design and functionality created by replacing the details with different positions and materials by utilizing the pattern design, which is the strength of the brand. It is a collection that is freed from fixed concepts and brings new things.

Denim blouson ¥79,200, pants ¥39,600, shirt ¥49,500

There is not one standard of beauty.
Denim jacket that releases the wearer

The jacket "Lee double-end denim riders/work blouson", which features rounded sleeves and a voluminous silhouette worn by Ruri Shiraiwa, is a collaboration with the denim brand "Lee", which has a history of nearly 100 years. Based on Lee's masterpiece "101-J", the design can be enjoyed 2WAY by incorporating the "double-end" technique that can be worn upside down.
There are plenty of new accessories in the store. I would like to pay attention to the shoulder bag and tote bag of the "riders" collection, which has a design that condenses the details of the rider's jacket, and the new sandals in collaboration with the Urban outdoor footwear brand "SHAKA".
"Recently, I often wear oversize clothes in private. The knit hat in today's plain clothes has a bigger design than your head. I like the pants a little wider than slim. The denim jacket worn by beautiful people today is compact but has a sense of volume.……I thought that the newness that sets a different line from the conventional denim jacket was very cute. There are only things that I want real accessories such as bags in the store,” says Rhime Shiraiwa.

Shoulder bag ¥66.000, tote bag ¥69,300,

SHAKA collaboration sandals ¥25,300 ※Scheduled to be released in April

To connect the dream of Rhime Shiraiwa,
About the irreplaceable time

“If you’ve ever made something of your own right now.……That's a waste of time. I think everyone has experience, but for example, in junior high and high school days, they gather together with their friends until late at night to talk inadvertently, and play as a favorite thing. If you look at it, you will be told, "These guys are wasting time" or "If you have such time, study." At that time, “What did you get?” When asked, I didn't get anything in particular (laughs). But when I think about it now, it seems to be a very irreplaceable time. It is still a memory that supports my heart when I am depressed. I wonder if it’s a waste of time that you’re making yourself now.”

Shiraiwa's unforgettable scene is also a casual everyday scene of childhood. But it is connected to his future.
“When I was little, I looked like a veranda with no one on stage and danced and sang. I don't sing to anyone, while watching the local scenery (laughs). I was doing that at the dome last year. I called my family, friends, and people I had taken care of before, and there were fans there.……I was very happy to be able to share that space and time with people who are important to me. When I was singing on the veranda, I didn't think I could be like this. The dream of a dome performance came true, and it was a pleasure to work hard.”

The motto is "Only once in a lifetime."
“Let’s make the present without losing the past.”

There are two words that support Mr. Shiraiwa's heart. They say, "Only once in life" and "Let's make a present that is not defeated by the past."
"When I'm doing this job, I'm very nervous. For example, before the dome performance or before the MAMA stage. But when I remember the word “only once in my life,” no matter how nervous you are, “Because it is only once, let’s have fun!” I feel like that. Also, even if you want to try something, if you do not challenge it, you will regret it if the time passes as it is, but it makes me think that you should try it once.
The word "Let's make a present that is as competitive as the past" is a word that appears in the manga "We were there." The protagonist Yano Motoharu, who is in deep darkness, said, "I'm so worried that your past will not be rewritten. Then, let's make a present that is not defeated by the past,' but he said, 'That's right.' No one can change what has happened anymore. I really like the word, ‘Let’s change it now.’
