Degenerate and dark 2024 Spring/Summer Collection
The theme for the Spring/Summer 2024 collection of "John Lawrence SULLIVAN" is "DARKDENCE". Inspired by the decadent and dark mood, the designer Arashi Yanagawa visited Cedrez charnel house in Kutner Hora, Czech Republic in 2016. Various sources of inspiration, such as Anselm Kiefer's work of art and the "Crucified Hill" in Shaurei, Lithuania, are intertwined and sublimated into this season's collection. The essence of the collection is a very carefully selected texture. Bleached black wig denim, Velvet with permanent wrinkles, pebble leather with aging, military knit with a broken body and sleeve……In addition, the color of the tranquil bone white emitted by human bones, the dry expression of rock walls and stones are fully reproduced using processing technology.

“I knew John Lawrence SULLIVAN when I was in high school. It was a longing brand because I couldn't get it out of my hands as a student. It has a very mature impression.……You can wear it today, and I have grown up too.” When Keigo Sato talked about his impression of the brand, Rhime Shiraiwa, who was sitting next to him, told me his valuable episode.
"In the final, I decided to make my debut, the costume I was wearing was John Lawrence SULLIVAN. So even now, I just saw this letter and said, “Wow, I was wearing Sullivan!” I remember it. My episode more than Keigo……"I'm sorry (laughs)" and Sato laughed at each other, saying, "Don't go beyond (laughs)".

In line with the season theme "DARKDENCE", accessories in collaboration with "YOSHiKO CREATiON" are also available. We skillfully lay out bones and crosses of various sizes, and have necklaces and rings that incorporate blown pearls that look like human bones. Also, what I would like to focus on this season is a hoody characterized by a bumpy abstract pattern using stretch lace from the Italian manufacturer ercopizzi. The lace tops with strength and beauty are a statement item that embodies the strong elegance that the brand is aiming for.

“What we care about when we work is a “joke” in a good sense. When you are very busy or work is prolonged, the mood of the members is inevitably tired and it gets a little tougher. In such a case, if you make a little mock or joke and laugh, the moment will be fun, so while working, "How can I sound?" Something like that may always be natural. I really like the members laughing. Yes, but I’m focused on my job.”

"The unforgettable scene in my life is the moment when I was selected as JO1. I can't believe it any more. I'm surprised. Until then, I had never had a good audition, so I said, 'Oh, is there something wrong?' I really don't know if my name was called.……I didn't know what happened, so I stopped for a moment. My parents also came to the venue, so when I saw my parents' face, I was crying, so I said, "Oh, it's me." You can’t forget that scene.”
Mr. Sato became a member of JO1 four years ago. If I could speak to myself during the finals, I asked what advice I would like to give now.
"If you want to speak to yourself at that time.……I think there are some places where I feel a little relieved. That's because I received it. That's why I want you to be more careful and do your best. "It's better to do this," I want to make a list of things to do and give it to you. Because they know the future.”

Sato Keigo
Born in Aichi Prefecture on July 29, 1998. In 2019, he was selected as a member of JO1 on the audition program "PRODUCE 101 JAPAN". In March 2020, he made his major debut in "PROTOSTAR". Blu-ray single "Your Key" will be released on March 27th.
