Clothes created by Jonathan Anderson, creative director of "LOEWE", the appeal of the clothes is the free playfulness that breaks the established concept of fashion. For him, the fashion show is an "experimental place." By sincerely confronting the philosophy of making things, we create new styles and clothes that are unprecedented. Ryosuke Nagaoka, a musician synchronizing with Jonathan's Philosophy, a shop cruise on the LOEWE on the 1st floor of Shibuya PARCO. Explain the charm of the SS24 Men's Collection, which is more like LOEWE than ever.

A silhouette drawn by recognition and scale.
LOEWE SS24 Men's Collection focusing on “viewpoints”
In the center of the venue for the "LOEWE" SS24 Men's Runway Collection, a huge fountain, a sculpture by artist Linda Ben Gris, was set up, and the models walked around the fountain. The audience looks at the runway with a wide angle and looking up from below—a "viewpoint" that determines the perception and scale of things. As a theme for this season, creative director Jonathan Anderson wanted to take on the challenge of "playing from the perspective." This is a magnificent perspective study in which the silhouette drawn by the recognition and scale of things varies greatly depending on the position and viewpoint you see.
It features a vertical proportion that stretches out silhouette consisting of long legs, high waist, and compact bust. The runway also features a unique look that decepts the eyes, which integrates shoes and pants. In addition to the silhouette, I would like to focus not only on the search for a manufacturing method that fulfills craftsmanship. Shirts and high waist pants that glow like a spangle are actually crystals that are carefully attached by craftsmanship. When viewed from a distance, it looks as if it reflects the splashes of the fountain in the light of the sun, with a discotic spark, which tells us that there are various interpretations depending on our point of view.
It seems like LOEWE more than ever.
Deep exploration of proportions
Ryosuke Nagaoka wears a waist-in high-waist jeans, one of the symbols of LOEWE's season. The elongated vertical proportion emphasizes the goodness of Nagaoka's own style more attractively. In addition, leather slip-on, which draws a silhouette parallel to the floor, creates the illusion that the ground and legs are integrated, making the long leg more stand out by the bottom of the pants fall. That proportion is just a "play of perspective."
"The LOEWE SS24 basically has a very simple impression, but it was a bit shy and a little bit of madness. If you were watching the collection, "Oh? This is something strange.……I had the impression that it was. But that may be because Jonathan wanted to express the various viewpoints in the clothes, "said Nagaoka. The bag that matches the look is SS24's new "Pebble Basket Bag Medium (Mellow Carf)". The length of the strap can be adjusted with metal parts with anagram engraved on the signature. The decorative but functional petable bucket bag is attractive with the pure and minimal line of LOEWE's crafts manship glows.
The intention of fashion.
"After all, good things are cool,"
"I think that what I'm crazy about now, such as cars and bicycles, is greatly influenced by my father who loved things. My father also liked clothes. I don't have a strong commitment to fashion, but when I saw the clothes of Super High West LOEWE that I wore today, "Cool!" I thought it. After all, good things are cool. Those that can feel the creator's commitment and those that are made carefully are still good. When I wore such a thing, I was relieved to feel the goodness of the construction naturally (laughs)."
After majoring in architecture, I went to a musician.
I am fascinated by the intrinsic power of things
Nagaoka majored in architecture at university when he was a student, and after graduating, went on to the path of music. His unique background has been applied to creative activities that are not bound by specific fields.
"I just thought that 'the architecture department is cool,' and I didn't think anything at that time (laughs). Of course, I liked architecture and majored, but when I was a student, I continued to build new architectures and broke it again.……Rather than that, there is a sense of being attracted to old things. So from the middle, I went to a department where I learned Japanese architectural history instead of design. Buildings and spaces that seem to be wonderful have excellent design and creation, but that's not the only one. The culture and history there……When I suddenly feel such a story on my skin, I sometimes get rid of it. In the past, when I stepped into an unnamed church in Poland, I had experienced a very modest feeling like being protected. I even felt ashamed of myself who was trying to take a picture."
