The clothes created by Jonathan Anderson, creative director of LOEWE, and its charm is the free playfulness that breaks the established concept of fashion. For him, the fashion show is a place of experimentation. By sincerely confronting the philosophy of manufacturing, we create new styles and clothes that are unprecedented. Ryosuke Nagaoka, a musician who synchronizes with Jonathan's philosophy, shop cruises around LOEWE on the 1st floor of Shibuya PARCO. Discover the charm of the SS24 men's collection, which is more like LOEWE than ever before.

A silhouette drawn by recognition and scale.
LOEWE SS24 Men's Collection focusing on "point of view"
In the center of the venue for the "LOEWE" SS24 Men's Runway Collection, a huge fountain, a sculpture by artist Linda Benglis, was installed, and the models walked around the fountain. The audience looks at the runway at wide angles and looking up from below — a “viewpoint” that determines the perception and scale of things. As a theme for this season, what creative director Jonathan Anderson wanted to challenge was “play of perspective”. This is a magnificent perspective study in which the silhouette drawn by perception and scale of things change greatly depending on the position and viewpoint you are looking at.
It is characterized by a vertical proportion with a long legs, a high waist, and a compact bust. The runway also features a unique look that deceives the eyes, which integrates shoes and pants. In addition to the silhouette, I would like to focus not only on the exploration of a manufacturing method that fulfills craftsmanship. Shirts shining like spangles and high waist pants are actually crystals that are carefully attached by craftsmanship. From a distance, it looks as if it reflects the splashes of the fountain that blinks in the light of the sun, with a discotic sparkling sparkling from the sun—that tells us that there are different interpretations from our perspective.

It seems like LOEWE more than ever.
Deep exploration of proportions
Ryosuke Nagaoka wears waist-in high waist jeans, one of the most iconic looks in LOEWE this season. The elongated vertical proportion emphasizes the goodness of Nagaoka's own style more attractively. In addition, the leather slippon, which draws a silhouette parallel to the floor, creates the illusion of the ground and legs as if the hem of the pants fall to the end of the floor, making the long leg more stand out. That proportion is exactly “play of view.”
"The LOEWE SS24 is basically a very simple impression, but it was a little fleshy and a little glimpse of madness. When I saw the collection, “Oh? This is something strange.……There is also an impression. But that may be because Jonathan wanted to express various “viewpoints” felt in his clothes,” says Nagaoka. The bag that matches the look is SS24's new "Pebble Bucket Bag Medium (Mellow Carf)". The length of the strap can be adjusted with an anagram engraved metal part of the signature. The decorative yet functional pable bucket bag features a pure and minimal line with LOEWE craftsmanship.

The expression of fashion.
“Of course, good things are cool.”
"I think my passion for cars and bicycles now is greatly influenced by my father who loved things. My father liked clothes too. I don't have a strong commitment to fashion, but when I saw the Super High West LOEWE clothes I wore today, it's cool! I thought. After all, good things are cool. What you can feel the commitment of the creator and what is carefully made is still good. When I wore something like that, I was relieved to feel the goodness of nature.”

After majoring in architecture, he went to a musician.
I was fascinated by the essential power of things.
Nagaoka majored in architecture at university when he was a student, and after graduating, he went on a musical path. His unique career has been applied to creative creative activities that are not bound by specific fields.
"I just thought, 'Architecture Department is cool,' and at that time I didn't think anything (laughs). Of course, I liked architecture and majored, but when I was a student, I continued to build new buildings and destroyed them again.……Rather than that, there is a sense of attraction to old things. So from the middle, I went to a department where I learned Japanese architectural history instead of design. Buildings and spaces that seem to be wonderful are wonderful in design and creation, but that's not the only thing. Culture and history there.……When I suddenly feel such a story on my skin, I sometimes feel terrified. Once upon a time, when I stepped into a church without a name in Poland, I felt very modest, as if I were protected. I even thought I was ashamed of myself trying to take pictures."
