Tomoo Gokita's new publication and release commemoration 1day POP UP & EVENT
To commemorate the publication of the new publication by painter Tomoo Gokita, a POP UP and talk event where you can meet Tomoo Gokita's BOOKS & GOODS will be held for one day only. In addition to a collection of books and works such as "Biju Techo October 2022 issue" and "Diary", related products such as Tomoo Gokita apparel items from TACOMAFUJI RECORDS will be opened, and a one-day sales booth will be opened. Tomoo Gokita
Painter. Born in Tokyo in 1969. Since the 1990s, he has attracted attention for his large number of drawing works influenced by music and subculture. In 2000, he published a collection of works "Langery Wrestling" and held a solo exhibition with the same title in PARCO Shibuya, etc. After that, he presented a minimalistic and sculptural painting. He has held numerous solo exhibitions at museums and galleries in Japan and overseas and has received international recognition. His major solo exhibitions include "THE GREAT CIRCUS" (DIC Kawamura Memorial Museum of Art, Chiba, 2014), "Out of Sight" (Mary Boone Gallery, 2016), "Tomoo Gokita PEEKABOO" (Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery, 2018), and "FRESH" (Blum & Poe Los Angeles, 2021). In September 2022, he published a new collection of works "Diary" (888 Books).
