20 years old. Countdown to the time limit
“If you dream, it will come true someday.”
Released the single "Level 42" in 2004. Kaera Kimura, an artist who continues to run at the forefront since his major debut at the age of 19.
"When I was in the third grade of high school, I was asked about my career at school, and I was going to college. When I received a recommendation, I went to university.……Something in myself was not quite convinced. When I told my parents, “I’ll stop going to college,” he said, “What are you saying?” And, of course, tell me. I was allowed to go on the current path, subject to the promise that I will definitely make my music debut by the age of 20. I worked very hard, but I was very impatient because I couldn't make my debut even just before I became a hatchet soon. I sent demo tapes to various record companies and advertised them, but I was bounced back saying, "The model is just singing." At that time, I was MC on a music information program called "saku saku" (tvk), but "Please come to Shibuya for a moment," a 19-year-old cheerful little girl who was about to be 20 called the producer of the program from Yokohama to Shibuya (laughs). “I really want to debut. If you don't make your debut by the hatchi, you have to go to college. "Hey, that's right! You have to make your debut right away.” From there, I decided to make my debut at a tremendous speed of two weeks. And then my life has changed. You don't really know life, do you? So you’d better put your dreams into words. Even if you don’t know, if you tell your dreams, you will come true someday.”

If she couldn't make her debut by the age of 20, she was really ready to give up on her dream. "I only had the dream of becoming a singer since I was a child, so what should I do?……I thought it was. But I couldn’t think of any other way than the singer. I've developed my career as a model, a cut model, a reader model, and an exclusive model of Seventeen, when I realized that everything was shackles, I felt very hopeless. I thought I was wasting a lot of time. Of course, now I know that not all the experiences I have done are useless. But I really feel that there is only action.”

From his debut to the present, Caera has had a great influence as a unique pop icon not only in music but also in the fashion and art scene. What is the driving force behind her heart that has been running on the front line for 20 years?
“I love singing, that’s the driving force. That's what I like most, so I have no choice but to do it anymore (laughs). Of course, it can be a slamp, such as "the lyrics do not come out" or "the idea does not come out". Because they are human, there are waves. But after all, I understand that the song is my favorite thing, so I thought, "I want to get over it somehow." It feels like it’s been going on all the time. Singinging is my tranquilizer. I'll be crazy without it. I don't usually say much about my feelings, so I'm singing it out. So I think we can continue more.”

To celebrate the anniversary of the 20th anniversary of its debut, KAELA KIMURA 20th ANNIVERSARY POP-UP STORE “JOINT” will be held at Shibuya PARCO from July 4th to 10th. A limited number of special items in collaboration with Caera will also be sold. What is notable is "EYE OPENING LINER RGB Black", a new color created by Mr. Caella's "now" encountering the world view of UZU with the message "The uniqueness is colorful." Her colorful original color package. When the lid is opened, it is a black eyeliner that can be quietly transparent as if it is contrasted with the outside.
"I love UZU's eyeliner, which has a lot of color variations, to buy all colors. At the milestone of the 20th anniversary of my debut, I thought that I would be able to collaborate with my favorite items and brands, so when I called out to UZU, my dream became a reality! The feeling that I usually value when creating works is “light and shadow”. When I talked about that, UZU also heard that the theme of light and shadow is in the essence of the brand. So the outer package is light — RGB red, green and blue with the three primary colors of light that I like. And the eyeliner inside is black that represents a shadow. Clear black eyeliner with clear transparency. Depending on the strength of light, the shadow has the property of changing the concentration. So once you paint it thin and transparent. We made countless "blacks" that contain the light of darkness when we layer the thin black neatly. It’s black, but it’s dark and thin, so it can be used everywhere, not just eyelines, but also eyebrows, or casually burying between eyelashes and eyelashes.”
The colorful world of vivid colors full of light and the world of monotone that makes you feel quiet but strong. In fact, the worldview of the front and back is beautifully expressed with a single eyeliner.

Caera has been active as an official ambassador for Tabio Sockshop since January 2024. A collaboration socks with Kaela Kimura x Tabio, who says he loves socks, was born. Amerib line socks with the opposite letters "POSITIVE" and "NEGATIVE" on each foot, and a pop socks like Caerra with red, blue, green and yellow gradient dyeing.
“Socks are worn on the right and left, and in the middle there is one’s heart.” When I woke up in the morning, I said, "Today, I'm feeling refreshed!" There are a lot of things like my modes being negative or positive. If you wear these socks in such a case, let your feelings naturally lean toward the positive. Depending on myself in the middle, you can lean on either side--I think that my mind and feelings can change when I consciously, so I wanted to enjoy socks in such a way. Every time I come to Shibuya to play, "Is it now pop up at PARCO?" I always visited the place where I never thought I could have an event at the milestone of the 20th anniversary, so I feel great. Not only me, but everyone can enjoy POP UP STORE. I think it’s going to be a happy zone, so I’d be happy if you come and visit me.”

Kaela Kimura
Born in Tokyo on October 24. He made his major debut in June 2004 with the single "Level 42". In 2013, he established a private label ELA in Victor Entertainment.
