We pursue our own aesthetics and evolve.
visvim's "Vintage of the Future"
Since its inception in 2000, visvim has been exploring "universal beauty" and "making products that will remain in future generations." The products produced in each collection are inspired by the traditional crafts from around the world and inherited techniques that touched the koto line of designer Hiroki Nakamura, and express them in various forms through visvim filters. The tweed stencollar coat, a new 2022AW worn by Masataka Kubota, has a complex arrangement of various irregular threads of different materials and guards, giving a random expression and time, a dry texture like a vintage and elegant luster. The unique expression unique to visvim, which emphasizes the manual process, which cannot be realized with mass-produced clothes, appeals to the hearts of people around the world and is loved.

The taste created by the owner and the charm of “generational things”
"I've recently met something that I've always wanted to use. It is a Japanese lacquer bowl made from natural pesticide-free. If you are made from Japanese wood, there are about 50 processes to produce one.…It is created with very laborious craftsmanship. It's strange, but as you use it, it shines more and more. Urushi is hard to use in everyday life…I tell you, but the opposite. Such authentic Japanese lacquerware can be used until the generation of grandchildren, so it is called "generational things". It’s getting brighter, and I’m growing it now.” “Somethings”—that is synchronous with visvim’s aesthetic, which values the manual process and pursues the highest quality. The jacket worn by Mr. Kubota, inspired by the fire extinguisher of 2022AW (old firefighter), uses cotton for the installation to warm up with friction, creating beautiful drapes and comfortable tension. The silk shirt uses Tango Chirimen Crepe in the Tango region of Kyoto and Tango, which has been mainly used for kimono fabrics. The moist texture and supple feel are exactly the techniques of craftsmen. The cap with embroidery of "FREEDOM" reproduces the vintage feeling by using different wool and linen threads to create a unique unevenness.

Aucentic space like a gallery
Located on the 3rd floor of Shibuya PARCO, PEERLESS is the only shop in Japan that offers visvim collections as well as exclusive PEERLESS products. In "PEERLESS", which means "nothing similar or comparable", there are many items that can only be found at this shop. Shops with natural light, such as a fitting room made of dead stock bricks re-fired with glaze, a building material that has long been seen in the dirt floor of a Japanese house, a plaster wall finished by plasterers, are authentic and warm spaces like non-artificial galleries. The shop itself has changed over time and has become even more beautiful.

“Freedom before tension.”
Memories of Beginning as an Actor
"I auditioned for the drama, which was my debut film (2006), was in a studio just near Shibuya PARCO. It was my first experience to play at an audition, and it was about the third audition, so it was just my first experience. To be honest, I may not yet know the play, but I feel like I first faced something like “liberation beyond tension” in that audition for the first time. After that, I finally got into the scene — that’s where I started as an actor.”
