Designer Yasuko Furuta's "TOGA VIRILIS" debuted in the 2011 AW season as a men's line in TOGA. Following the gey worldview that combines TOGA-like innocent and underground, it is characterized by Western motifs and items incorporating 1950s classics. The TOGA VIRILIS 2022 AW collection proposes an approach that reverses the concept of “male clothes”. You can see a new graphic series featuring feminine details and sporty items, as well as a pieceful motif that looks like humans, animals and plants on the earth are holding hands. “I bought an orange set-up this summer. When you go to the store, you will always find what you want,” says Masataka Kubota.

"This time, the TOGA clothes I wore during the shooting are quite a favorite. A lot of people gather together, “Here’s! “I want to go to the party at the time.” The pants with a slightly loose silhouette combined with the suspender are finished in a 50s style that drifts under the spirit of TOGA VIRILIS. Over the past few years, TOGA has been aiming for clothes that do not have gender boundaries—the details that are often used in women's clothing, such as frills, laces, and raffles, for men to develop a collection that women can wear and enjoy in real life. One of the things that Kubota got married and thought "good" was that he learned about the pleasure of sharing clothes with his wife, Asami Mizukawa. “The fun of sharing clothes was the first time I got married, so I think it’s okay.”

Masataka Kubota
Actor. Born in Kanagawa Prefecture on August 6, 1988. Debuted in 2006. In 2012, he became a national actor with NHK Taiga drama series "Taira no Kiyomori" and in 2014 NHK serial TV novel "Hanako and Ann". After that, he will appear and star in topical works such as "Death Note", "THE LAST COP / Last Cup", and "Radiation House - Diagnosis Report of Radiology".
