Resonating “cloths” and “people”
A fragment of memory that crosses
"JUNYA WATANABE MAN / COMME des GARCHONS HOMME" is a composite SHOP that offers two men's lines almost full lineup. In a space where silver objects rise like an art piece, Keito Yoshimura wore this day a jacket that was inside out of "JUNYA WATANABE MAN" and denim salel pants. The new "574 Legacy", the world's first new "eYe JUNYA WATANABE MAN" x "New Balance" collaboration, will accelerate the relaxy mood. "I remember the clothes brand linked to the 'people' that friend wore at that time. This time, I wanted to try it with an unknown feeling among myself."
The mood of "freedom"
A world that wears powerfully
This season's "JUNYA WATANABE MAN" features works by many artists, and works by Keiichi Tanaami, Phannapast Taychamaythakool, Jacky Tsai, Rlon Wang, Ang Tsherin Sherpa, Xuebing Du, Quang & Lien, Marta Olga Klara, etc. The power that gives unconditionally strength, such as correcting the back when worn, is the only attraction. "I don't like it's so shocking that clothes get dirty, so I usually choose 'black'. Everyone often says, "I like black," but my favorite color is "white." I feel freedom in "white", something. That's why it's a favorite color."
Jackets ¥99,000, T-shirts ¥38,500, pants ¥60,500, sneakers ¥28,600."Journey to Bhutan"
The preciousness of each life
"JUNYA WATANABE MAN" 22SS was inspired by the "Journey to Bhutan" by British photographer Jamie Hawksworth. A nostalgic Asian image is superimposed in a collection that incorporates colorful sarasa patterns, and Oriental motifs such as carp and lotus flowers. "When I came to Asia in the past, when I stopped by the Khaosan Road in Thailand, I thought, 'I feel my life' when I saw a lot of people running on a road with multiple lanes. I could see the expression of each person properly. I saw many people and their lives in their lanes."
I grew up in a city called Shibuya.
Living in neutral
Actually, Mr. Yoshimura was born in Shibuya. "I don't know much about other cities, but I think Shibuya is something calm. In the past, I used to go to a boxing gym in Ebisu, and from my house to Dogenzaka-246 by bicycle, I went to the snake, but the house where I was born was also there. Every time I pass that I was born here, I feel relieved. It's such a feeling that Shibuya calms down in myself." He spent his childhood in this city, a place of fashion and culture, and was impressed by his appearance in various ways with art and music. "I think I was influenced by both the supercapitalistic father and the mother who has a deep knowledge of art, music and video, the opposite and the opposite. Now, what I'm interested in is a play, and I feel like I returned to the beginning when I started it again. In me, "expressing" is "health". On the other hand, I don't like anything else. That's why I think I'll be honest and healthy every day."
