VISUAL| Kanade Hamamoto
This visual is based on the theme of "circulation," and uses photographer Kana Takamoto, who expresses some memories like a daylight dream as "photos that are not seen." With the advocating "circulating the limited resources of the earth carefully and connecting the beautiful scenery and environment of the earth to the future," Toshihiko Hosaka, a sand sculptor, created a "Castle of Hope" that is symbolized only by "sand" water "existing in nature, set on Nobiru Beach, Higashimatsushima City, Miyagi Prefecture. Smoothed in sand, sparkling sunlight, and blinking blue water surface…The story is unfolded while snuggling to the sight of nature. Tetsujiro Yagi is in charge of graphic using 3DCG objects for the logo design.
During the exhibition period, art works appeared on the Shibuya PARCO 2F connecting passage at the same time as the visual exhibition at the Shibuya PARCO entrance. One Planet Paper®, the only printing paper that has been certified by WFTO (World Fair Trade Organization) and has been linked to all 17 SDGs goals, was produced. After the exhibition, Okawa Printing Co., Ltd., which was responsible for environmental printing of art works, recycles and collects them through zero CO2 delivery, and the work will be reborn as used paper, cardboard, and toilet paper.
※「One Planet Paper®」
Japan's first fair trade-certified paper made from banana fibers taken from organic banana stems in Zambia, Africa, which were previously discarded, was made using traditional Japanese paper technology to offset CO2 generated in fiber processing, transportation, and paper manufacturing.
