Started in 1981 as a knit brand of tricot COMME des GARÇONS/Trico Comme Des Garcons Rei Kawakubo. 1987: Designer changed from Kawakubo to Junya Watanabe. As of 2002, Tao Kurihara became a designer and changed its brand name to "tao" in 2022. From the Spring/Summer 2022 collection, the positioning of tricot COMME des GARÇONS remains as it is. We continue to create a collection that pursues and expresses even stronger design.
