The 50th anniversary of PARCO Publishing! Open a bookstore with the theme of "Cartivate (plowing)"!



PARCO Publishing, which was established in 1974, celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. To commemorate this, a fictional book store "One Page BOOKSTORE-1 Page Bookstore-" appears on "3F POP UP SPACE" for a limited time. Based on the concept of "cultivate", which is also the etymology of culture and means "cultivate", the mission of this bookstore digs up the history that has been built as an alternative to the publishing world, and "cultivate" one page of a new future. Genius director Yorgos Lantimos' latest work, Chapter 3 of Mercy, is an omnibus movie composed of three stories that are too strange. Lantimos and his third tag, Emma Stone, who won his second Academy Award® Best Actress in his previous work, "The Porrowful Things," appeared and played different characters for each chapter. WHITE CINE QUINTO will hold a special photo exhibition at POP UP SPACE, which captures the shooting site of this work, which will be released from September 27th (Friday). Atsushi Nishijima, a still photographer who has fully captured the world view of Lantimos' works since "The Holy Deer Killing of the Secret Deer," and a number of photographs taken by Lantimos himself not only give a glimpse of the backside of photography, but also embodies a breathtaking artistic space.

Yorgos Lantimos

Born in Athens, Greece in 1973. Received the Grand Prix of the 62nd Cannes International Film Festival “One Perspective Category” for “Otome in the Basket,” attracting international attention. Other works include "Robster", "The Holy Deer Killing of the Seicrid Deer", "The Favorite of the Queen", and "The Porrowful Things".

Atsushi Nishijima

He moved to the United States in 1998. Based in New York, he works mainly as a film still photographer. Participated in the work of Director Yorgos from "The Holy Deer Killing of the Secred Deer". In 2022, he won the 59th Annual Still Photographer Award in Hollywood.
