UNDERCOVER 2024 Spring Summer Collection

A runway with fog. It is a beautiful and ephemeral world that faintly visible and hidden in the dark—UNDERCOVER 2024 Spring – The theme of the Summer Women's Collection is "Deep Mist". The key essence is made of a sheer material that makes the skin look transparent, and all clothes are made of transparent cloth like silk, organdy, and tules. By adding the essence of "mist" to clothes in various directions, such as hanging and wrapping, designer Shield Takahashi challenged the new possibilities of fashion to erase the designs he created once and create new ones.
Sharadima, who actually participated in the collection in Paris last September. "UNDERCOVER is a brand that is very good at blowing humor into the mode. At the spring and summer show, a lot of materials like fluttering chiffon are used. The most impressive thing was the veil that covered her face. The transparent veil like the evolution of Barak Lava was really novel."

The look worn by Shara is a new spring and summer new work featuring paintings by German contemporary artist Neo Rauch, who designer Shield Takahashi has long respected. The theme of the collection, "Deep Mist," resonated with his view of the world, and his first collaboration was realized.
"In fact, at the show, it was the impression that various types of clothes were appearing. At first, from pop things, as the model walks along the runway, I was fascinated by the feeling that the atmosphere of the venue and clothes match more and more, and finally when the dress illuminated by butterflies came out in the dark, there was a sense of unity that everything was integrated. At the last moment, "Here," all the shows were designed—I was impressed by the story," says Shara.

Fashion breaks one's shell,
Things that change the representation quickly

"I don't know fashion until I wear it. I'm a person who didn't know the importance of representation in particular, but I think fashion is a genre that teaches the importance of art. Until I worked on a model, I had decided that "this kind of color and shape would suit me", but when I actually wore various clothes at work, I found that there were many things that changed not only by age but also by the mood of the seasons and times, and the values in myself were greatly shaken. I realized that my image I was drawing was actually too hard. Now I feel that fashion may be the quickest way to break your shell and change your image. It's always reminds me of the importance of representation."

When I look at Shara's eyes and talk, I naturally get drawn into the clear blue gradation eyes. It was apparent by covering with his favorite blue color, which is different from his original pupil color, her identity.
"I don't know why I'm attracted to it, but I love blue. Last summer, when I fasted for three days, I got a feeling that my eyesight improved. At that time, only the blue color came into my eyes. I've read Ramo Nakajima's essay, "Blue awakens," before, and I felt like blue was flying. My favorite movie is Takeshi Kitano's "Sonatine", and my favorite art is James Tarell's work I saw on Naoshima. Wonderfully what I like intuition may be blue. During this time, I was able to see the aurora by chance on a plane from Japan to Paris. If you look outside the window when you wake up asleep, you will find a very beautiful aurora with green and blue light in front of you. From a parallel perspective, the aurora seen from the side was exceptional. When I told my friend about that, I was told, "I rarely see aurora on an airplane," and I had a very valuable experience. Is it instinct?…………For some reason, I was very attracted to the blue color, and I feel that I always have good meetings."

"Being a foreigner" I experienced for the first time

She was born in Japan in the 1990s, spent her childhood in Bangladesh, the roots of her parents, and moved to Kita-ku, Tokyo from the age of 10 due to her parents' work, and grew up in downtown. He taught me a new perspective on myself that I learned for the first time in Western Europe during my stay in the collection.
"I have been based on both the roots of the country and Japan, but in the environment where I have lived, I have never experienced language difficulties. However, when I started to go to an overseas collection where my native language doesn't speak, I first experienced the fun of becoming a foreigner. "Where did you come from?" When asked and answered "from Tokyo", he said, "Oh? Flom Tokyo?' It's like (laughs). If anything, I seem to be blending in as a young man on the European side, "I came from Tokyo." The native language is Japanese, "What do you mean?" "Everyone was surprised, and no matter how many times I explained it (laughs). On the contrary, I was surprised to be surprised by everyone.……。 I don't know the fact that the city of Tokyo is full of diversity now. Actually, I realized that people living in Western Europe don't know that there are many people in Tokyo who have roots in foreign countries other than South Asia and Japan like me.
