Ryunosuke Okazaki's solo exhibition "Moto Echoes in the Anthropocene" curated by AKIINOUE will be held. The "JOMONJOMON" series presented in this exhibition is derived from "Jomon period", which can be said to be about 10,000 years of eternal life. The works reminiscent of Jomon pottery, which were created by people who lived in that era while feeling awe of nature, coexisting, benefiting, and praying, are characterized by undulating curves and decorations.
In addition, the modeling of symmetry is conscious of the order and will of grand Torii gate at Itsukushima-jinja Shrine, which has been familiar with since childhood. The structure that encompasses air while using modern materials inherits the Jomon spirit of the Anthropocene Era and symbolizes prayers for ongoing war, illness, and natural disasters.
