As you step into the shop, you will find a contemporary gallery where beautiful clothes of various colors, materials and forms are lined up rhythmically. The space design is Naoto Fukasawa, a designer who worked on the shop of "ISSEY MIYAKE KYOTO". Here, the brands of "IM MEN", "HOMME PLISSÉISSEY MIYAKE", "A-POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE", "BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE", "GOOD GOODS ISSEY MIYAKE" and Issey Miyake gather in borderless to send new expressions for the next generation.

A place where you can meet a selection of good things

"GOOD GOODS ISSEY MIYAKE" is a miscellaneous goods development project that started in 2018 in search of "good things." Manufacturing that focuses on the relationship between things and those who use them enriches their daily lives and brings special experiences. Momoko Fukuchi picked up a drawstring bag from MOKKO, which is popular as a "washable basket bag," which is one of the representative series of the project. The light and soft knit bag woven from a single thread can be washed with water and easy to handle. The by-color design, which has changed colors on the front and back of light purple and neon orange, is accented with neon colors. The compact size and soft material that you want to get at any time, like a partner when you go to the city, are attractive.
"I really like a cute design like a drawstring bag. I think it's amazing what I think is good even when I hold it in my hand....It's cool to match with Japanese clothes."

「BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE」

"BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE" is an innovative bag brand that creates a form by combining and configuring various pieces with a triangular piece as a prototype. When the user puts things in, the bag has a strange expression from a plane to a three-dimensional look. The flat shape itself is easy to carry and functional, and also has practicality in storage. As the name suggests, the new bag "CARAT" that appeared in September has a design inspired by the cutting of jewels, and can be used in a plump form by folding horizontal gussets. From December, deep colors (beige, Bordeaux, khaki) for the fall and winter season are newly available. It is also very useful as an accent with a class feeling during the holiday season, and as a small item that colors everyday life a little luxuriously.

A book that enriches Momoko Fukuchi's heart

When asked Fukuchi-san, "Do you have any words or teachings that will inspire you?" she thought for a while and looked inside the bag, saying, "I was bringing it today," and showed me a book. It is an anthology of early Shuntaro Tanikawa's poem collection Poem Libraryi, published in 1958 when Yasuharu Hanamori wrote the book.
"I've always liked reading poems since I was little. It was only after I became an adult that I knew that the poem I liked and touched was Tanikawa's work. This book was bought at a secondhand bookstore about three years ago. Recently, before the stage performance begins, read a poem that came out by opening a book like a solar calendar. At that time, there was a feeling that the words came into my heart quickly, and before the actual performance, I thought I would do my best. At the first stage, “View from the Bridge” (PARCO STAGE), even after the curtain opens, we gather every morning and practice with everyone. I spent most of my time together. Looking back now, I think it was a very valuable experience, and I experienced that there was no exact same performance at least once because it changed through repeated practice. I remembered another book that I was glad I read recently. Yoshiharu Doi's "I can't taste it." When cooking, you don't have much attention and feel free. If it's delicious, that's fine (laughs)."
