A space that spreads in an S-shaped shape that leads to a large window where natural light shines. Once you step into the shop, it looks like a contemporary gallery where beautiful clothes of various colors, materials and forms are rhythmically lined up. The space design is Naoto Fukasawa, a designer who worked on the shop of "ISSEY MIYAKE KYOTO". Here, "IM MEN", "HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE", "A-POC Able ISSEY MIYAKE", "BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE" and "GOOD GOODS ISSEY MIYAKE" are gathering in borderless and transmitting new expressions for the next generation.

A place where you can meet a selection of “good things”

“GOOD GOODS ISSEY MIYAKE” is a miscellaneous goods development project launched in 2018 by exploring “good good things”. Manufacturing that focuses on the relationship between things and people who use them enriches daily life and brings special experiences. Momoko Fukuchi picked up one of the main series of this project, a drawstring bag of MOKKO, which is popular as a "washable basket bag". The light and soft knit bag knitted from a single thread can be washed with water and easy to handle. The design of By kolor, which has changed colors on the back and forth of light purple and neon orange, is accented by Neon kolor. The compact size and soft material that you want to get at any time, like a companion when you go out to the city, are attractive.

「BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE」

"BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE" is an innovative bag brand that creates a form by combining various pieces with triangular pieces as a prototype. When the user puts things in, the bag has a strange expression from plane to three-dimensional. The flat shape itself is easy to carry and functional, and also serves as practicality in storage. As the name suggests, the new bag "CARAT", which appeared in September, is designed with the image of jewelry cutting, and can be used in a plump form by inserting a horizontal gusset. From December, a new deep shade (beige, Bordeaux, khaki) for the fall and winter season will appear. It is also very useful as an accent with a sense of class during the holiday season, and as a small accessory that colors everyday life a little luxuriously.

A book that enriches the heart of Momoko Fukuchi

When I asked Fukuchi, "Do you have any words or teachings that inspire me?" she thought for a while and looked inside the bag, saying, "I brought it today," and showed me a book. It is an anthology of Shuntaro Tanikawa's poetry collection Poem Library, published in 1958, when Yasuharu Hanamori coding, anthology of early Shuntaro Tanikawa.
“When I was a child, I loved to read poetry. It was only after I grew up that I learned that the poem I thought I liked was Tanikawa's work. This is a book I bought at a secondhand bookstore about 3 years ago. Recently, before the stage performance began, I read the poems that came out with opening a book like a calendar. At that time, there was a sense of the words coming into my heart quickly, and before the production, I felt that I wanted to do my best. In the first stage of "The View from the Bridge" (PARCO STAGE), even after the curtain opens, we gather every morning to practice with everyone. We spent most of our time together. Looking back now, I think it was a very valuable experience, and I experienced that there is no exactly the same performance once because it changes by accumulating lessons. I remember another book that I thought was good to read recently. Mr. Yoshiharu Doi's "Fastering is not possible." When cooking, you don't have too much attention, and you're more free. If it tastes good, then that’s fine.”
