Morgan Maira Interview

――How did you see "SHIBUYA PARCO ART WEEK 2023"? Also, what kind of ART exhibitions and performances were impressive?

I didn't know that there were so many exhibitions, so I enjoyed it a lot. It was fun with different personalities, but the unique exhibition of "TRUNKWARE" that combines African plants and bonsai was also very attractive and interesting. Also, the performing arts (mixed media performance “p. §.”) happened to have a close acquaintance, so I was surprised and energetic, and was drawn in by watching it. The last scene was on the rooftop, so I was very fascinated by matching the night view.

――Morgan Maira is also active as a photographer, but what is the charm of photography? What moment do you want to leave again?

I started taking pictures because of love for people, so I think it is one of the charms to be able to leave such memories.

What I often say about my photos is bright, happy or happy. You can receive it with that image. Based on the fact that I am happy myself, and I can express it through filters, so I will continue to shoot a lot of such scenes and works in the future.

――What are your memories of Shibuya?

When I was a teenager or hatch, I met my best friend from junior high school and went home in Shibuya after their work and errands were over. Walk for about two hours and talk a lot at that time. Youth in me.

I think Shibuya at night is a place where there are many things like connecting with people, encounters, etc. I was very inspired by going to various events and meeting various people.…I have many memories of Shibuya like that.
