"BIRD OF PARADISE" by WAYP MUSIC was released.
This year, we will hold POP UP at Shibuya PARCO.

WAYP MUSIC, a label that distributes products certified by artists based on the concept of "imposing everyday beauty with music and art into products," will hold POP UP on the theme of "BIRD OF PARADISE'2023," a non-existent music festival from June 28 (Wednesday) to July 2 (Sunday) at Shibuya PARCO. From rock to techno to HIP HOP…This is the fourth time this year's "fictitious music festival," in which alternative artists with unique world views participate every year. Exclusive T-shirts featuring unique artists will be exhibited and released.

"UA TEE", reminiscent of an artist T-shirt from the 1980s, is made with a colorful silk screen that has a moderate vintage feeling based on the photos of UA singing at the Tokyo performance of the live "Are U Romantic?" held last year. In addition to UA, `` SHEENA & THE ROKKETS TEE '' depicting Makoto Ayukawa and Siina dressed up, `` OKAMOTO'S TEE '' finished with a world tour taste, `` yonawo TEE '' depicting a young four-member band with attention, etc. The uniqueness of the four artists to feature stylishly expresses the individuality of the four artists, and is particular about the vintage style. "I made AJICO Tee last year (BIRD OF PARADISE’ 2022), but this year's T-shirts are even more favorite, and I would like to wear a lot this summer. I want to wear this T-shirt and go to the festival after all (laughs)," says UA.

"The attraction of the festival is the depth of the taste that makes you feel like you are in the hall of the earth. I have been taking care of FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL for a long time, but after moving to Naeba in 1999, I performed on the green stage, experienced various things at the Field of Heven, and I learned a lot about the world view and music view of the festival, including the sense of distance to the audience. One day, I was dancing with my best friend at FUJI ROCK while watching the stage. There was a star in the sky, and "Is that Scorpio?" When I was looking at the sky with my friend while holding my finger, the shooting star really ran through the night sky. When I shouted involuntarily, all the customers who were there seemed to be aware of it, and a loud cheer was raised. Then, at that moment, the performance came in as if to respond to the cheers, and it was very exciting. In the enthusiasts, "The live at that time was very valuable" is still told. There are various types of festivals, such as urban festivals and festivals in nature, but after all, it's a LIVE that feels the same air vibrating, so it's irresistible to have natural phenomena and unexpected things happen there."

I want to use it up neatly and die

UA is celebrating its 28th anniversary this year. We are healed and fascinated by its presence and soulful singing voice. What is the dream she has as a musician who makes various expressions through songs? "There is also a desire to talk about a big dream.…There were times when I thought it was natural to sing, but I've come to know how valuable it is to be able to continue singing so far. What I think now is how long I can challenge pop music. From a philosophical point of view, I want to use up my life cleanly and die, so just before I die, I can speak in a thin voice.…I think it would be nice to sing a song. I don't think the world will change with songs. But if we become a world where people will not sing songs, I think humankind will not continue."
