2G(NANZUKA)| A solo exhibition by American artist Matthew Palladino. Semi-stereoscopic work using 3DCG and 3D printing technology is released

American artist Matthew Palladino is holding a solo exhibition "9LivesAutoSaveCat" at NANZUKA 2G. Paradino has been influenced by graphic images of comics and games. This time, we will also announce a series of semi-stereoscopic works in vivid colors produced with 3D printers based on robot-shaped cats. This work, which strongly impresses that it is a mass-produced form, seems to express the play between simple repetitive thinking and creative thinking. We want you to observe the changes in thinking that you feel as you cross the boundaries between analog and digital.

By Matthew Palladino

Born in San Francisco, graduated from California College of Arts and is currently active in Bolivia. He has held numerous exhibitions, including solo exhibitions "Ouroboros" (Parnassos Literary Society, Dio Horia Gallery, 2018), Group Show, "Punch" (Jefrey Deitch Gallery, Los Angels, 2019), and "Paper/Plastic" (AishoNanzuka, 2017). His work is also housed in The Whitney Museum of American Art (NY).

OIL by Bijutsu Techo | Curated by Hilo Sugiyama. NEO PAINTING TOKYO, a group exhibition that showcases new expressionism

At "OIL by Bijutsu Techo", a group exhibition "NEO PAINTING TOKYO" curated by artist Hilo Sugiyama will be held. In the 1980s, a new movement called "New Painting" occurred simultaneously in the world. In Japan, the concept of hetauma was born at the same time. In response to these movements, where PARCO also became one of the origins of this exhibition, this exhibition presents a new expressionist movement in Tokyo, through Japan's unique hetauma and new painting. There are seven participating artists: Keiji Ito, Mariko Enomoto, SARUME, Yuta Nakajima, Goro Nagashima, Yukiko Yamasaki, and Sugiyama Hilo. Witness the dawn of an alternative art movement.

One day, I came down to my head, the original ‘miira’’. In 2022, when I applied for the third installment of the Sanma Gallery Project of Nippon Television's "Sanma Akashiya Who Nobody Knows", I was caught in Sanma's eye and exhibited at Sanma Gallery, making my artist debut.

GAKU| An event focusing on Korean queer culture will be held. Two days full of content such as screenings of unreleased films in Japan

At GAKU, an accumulation area of "learning" where you can meet the origins of creation, we will hold a two-day limited event focusing on the current Korean queer culture, entitled "Making the Way 2022 - Now, some of the voices of the Korean queer." There are a variety of contents, including movie screenings released at the end of Japan, talks on gender/sexuality, poster displays and video screenings to commemorate John Nafan, an artist who left his work in the queer community of Korea and Japan. In addition, there will be POP UP of independent publications and miscellaneous goods and workshops. I would like K-POP fans and art fans to come together to experience the charm of Korean queer culture in a space where they gather together.
