ISSEY MIYAKE SHIBUYA| Sculpture-like clothing developed from tent-like objects

"HOMME PLISSÉISSEY MIYAKE" was presented with a 22AW collection under the theme of "A WORK OF ARC". This season, when I studied a structure made of cloth and skeleton like a tent and applied it to clothes making, I worked on a new three-dimensional modeling that was created by pulling an arc on the pleat fabric. The shape of the clothes covering the body completed by reviewing how to fold and sew the fabric, and the direction of the pleats, looks like a lively sculpture. The beautiful three-dimensional effect like art and the light comfort color your everyday life richly.

 

JUNYA WATANABE MAN / COMME des GARÇONS HOMME| Mash-up Jay Kay's style and indigenous culture

The "JUNYA WATANABE MAN" 22AW collection is a collaboration with Jay Kay, the frontman of the world-renowned "Jameiroquai". He resonated with his fashion and thought inspired by the culture of indigenous peoples around the world, and remixed it into the "JUNYA WATANABE MAN" style. The coats and knits with colorful details that attract the most attention in the collection use traditional fabrics actually used in ethnic costumes in Mexico and America. This season, there are plenty of collaboration items with various brands such as "LEVI'S®", "THE NORTH FACE", "Carhartt", "karrimor", and "New Balance".

 

KENZO| Nigo's debut collection, remixing past archives in a modern style.

"KENZO" 22AW collection, which was the debut season of Nigo, who became artistic director. From items such as Japanese denim and down that patterned the design motif of Kenzo Takada's design drawing motif with the icon poppy flower as a key motif, you can feel his own roots as well as respect for Mr. Takada. The new "KENZO" that skillfully reinterprets the code of the Maison. I would like to experience the world view at a real shop.

 

kolor| Beauty and strength created from the essence of "broken"

"kolor" that incorporates different elements in an exquisite balance. The 22AW season is a collection that makes you feel beautiful and powerful, even while incorporating "broken" elements into what is in place. For example, a red duffel coat separates the outer lining such as neck and sleeves on one side, reveals the inner structure, and the familiar items also give fresh impression. In addition, hats that appear everywhere in the collection are in collaboration with "KIJIMA TAKAYUKI". You can also feel the essence of "break" even from accessories that have been cut out with the "kolor" logo on part of the brim.

 

MARC JACOBS| New icon "THE JMARC SHOULDER BAG" is released

From "MARC JACOBS", a new work "THE J MARC SHOULDER BAG" arrived. The bag made of supple leather is accented by the closure of the J mark, which is a signature. The removable chain strap is inspared from the Aiko Nic "Stam" series. It can be enjoyed in three ways: clutch, cross-body, and shoulder bag. For this campaign, Mark Jacobs' long-standing muse actress Winona Rider will be appointed. We also want to pay attention to the special visuals that combine new bags with archive collections.

 

MM6 Maison Margiela| Exploring the disruptive approach of military wear

In the MM6 Maison Margiela 2022 "Avant Plumierre" collection, we explore practical design codes through a destructive approach of military wear. The typical motifs, textures, and silhouettes were extracted and reinterpreted into a modern item. The rib knit, which has a presence made by dismantling and connecting military knits, is characterized by Elbo patches from contrast. The tailored jacket with fluorescent oranges on the lining and the coat with a cocoon silhouette create a silhouette that reminds you of a pilot's Bomber jacket.…。 At first glance, a skillful drop that cannot be understood can be regarded as the Maison's attitude toward pacifism.

 

TOGA| The icon motif is developed into a peaceful mood.

The theme of the "TOGA PULLA" 22AW collection is "metal enthusiast attack". Each part from the head to the toe incorporates the latest metal hardware to make it fully equipped. In contrast to that hard impression, by combining marble-shaped carvings and associate-colored flare pants, we developed a style that feels like a "LOVE & PEACE" flower movement. On the other hand, "TOGA VIRILIS" mixes the details defined as feminine and sporty items. A new piece of a peaceful graphic series in which humans, flora and fauna hold hands is also available. What I would like to pay more attention to is the first collaboration item with "FRUIT OF THE LOOM". With the meaning of supporting the Rainbow flag, graphic with abstract replacement of fruits was incorporated into Unisex items.

 

UNDERCOVER NOISE LAB| The AW Collection quietly puts thoughts on everyday life and peace

The 22AW season's "UNDERCOVER" included in the collection is the reopening thoughts on daily life and peace. Under the theme of "daily clothes that are an extension of everyday life designed from a unique distorted perspective," Men's featured face graphics and wear featuring the movie "PSHYCO" directed by Alfred Hitchcock. On the other hand, women, who performed a solo show in Tokyo, have the theme of "cold REBEL flames smoked at the bottom of my heart." In a quiet and elegant formal wear, he dive a wish for peace with a puncture spirit.
