The Art Wall, which appeared along Koen-dori St. as a temporary enclosure of Shibuya PARCO, coexisted with Shibuya for about two years.
In May 2017, large-scale construction for the new Shibuya PARCO is underway. The Art Wall of "AKIRA" appeared as a temporary enclosure for renovation work and attracted great attention. The Art Wall, in collaboration with the original author Katsuhiro Otomo and collage artist Kosuke Kawamura, coexisted with the city of Shibuya until July 2019, when it was unfortunately removed, and attracted many people.

『AKIRA』 It is a manga by Katsuhiro Otomo that was serialized in the Weekly Young Magazine from 1982 to 1990. In 1988, it was made into a movie by the director and script of the Japanese science fiction manga, and the English version was produced. "Neo-Tokyo in 2019" is depicted as the stage of the story, where elaborate stories and decadent worldviews are supported across borders.
With the music of Yamashiro Gumi resounding, we reconstructed the Art Wall and held an exhibition where you can experience the world of "neo Tokyo".
“AKIRA ART OF WALL Otomo Katsuhiro × Kosuke Kawamura AKIRA ART EXHIBITION” will be held in Shibuya in 2019. The Art Wall was re-excavated from the construction site, and the damage suffered in about two years was reconstructed as a huge collage work. You can experience the world of "neo Tokyo" as the music of Yamashiro Gumi, who worked on the movie version of the Suntora.

At PARCO MUSEUM TOKYO on the 4th floor, precious original drawings and posters from the time of the serialization of "AKIRA" will be exhibited, centered on the reconstructed Art Wall, and the objects appearing in the work will be reproduced realistically. In "GALLERY X" on the B1F, installations with huge three-dimensional objects will be carried out. In addition, limited goods to commemorate the exhibition will be sold, and it will be a must-have item for fans.
