The Art Wall, which appeared along the Koen-dori St. as a temporary enclosure for Shibuya PARCO and coexisted with Shibuya for about two years.
In May 2017, large-scale construction work for the new Shibuya Parco is underway. The Art Wall of "AKIRA" emerged as a temporary enclosure for renovation work and attracted a great deal of attention. The Art Wall, in collaboration with the original author, Katsuhiro Otomo, and collage artist Kosuke Kawamura, coexisted with the city of Shibuya until July 2019, when it was regrettable but removed, attracting many people.

『AKIRA』 This is a manga by Katsuhiro Otomo, which was serialized in Weekly Young Magazine from 1982 to 1990. In 1988, it was made into a movie by his director and script, and was also produced in English. "Neo Tokyo in 2019" is depicted as the stage of the story, in which the elaborate story and the devastating world view are supported across national borders.
As the music of Yamashiro Gumi resonates, the Art Wall was reconstructed and an exhibition was held to experience the world of Neo Tokyo.
And "AKIRA ART OF WALL Otomo Katsuhiro x Kosuke Kawamura AKIRA ART EXHIBITION" will be held in Shibuya in 2019. The Art Wall was re-excavated from the construction site, and the damage suffered in about two years was reconstructed as a huge collage work. You can experience the world of "Neo Tokyo" as the music by Yamashiro Gumi, who worked on the movie version of Santra, resonates.
Limited goods will also be sold to commemorate the exhibition!
At "PARCO MUSEUM TOKYO" on the 4th floor, valuable original drawings and posters from the serialization of "AKIRA" will be exhibited mainly on the reconstructed Art Wall, and the objects appearing in the work will be realistically reproduced. In "GALLERY X" on B1F, installations with huge three-dimensional objects are performed. In addition, limited goods commemorating the exhibition will be sold, and it will be a must-have item for fans.
