Born in 1973, PARCO THEATER is a pioneer in production performances. There are about 1,200 scenes created by theater staff and creators facing each other without an artistic director.
The newly reborn PARCO THEATER has evolved into a more creative theater while inheriting the genealogy of the past. The stage can be dynamically directed by the depth and ceiling height. There are 636 seats.

The new PARCO THEATER opened on January 24 (Friday). The "PARCO THEATER Opening Series" will start following the repertoire's second performance from the former PARCO THEATER era.
In the opening series, starting with "Pissarro" starring Ken Watanabe on March 13 (Friday), a total of 14 works will be performed over a year. At a press conference held with Takashi Fujii, who is also on the stage of the opening series, 21 creators and actors from 14 works were on stage.

Following the Kokera Fall premiere, Pissarro premiered in 1985 in the former PARCO THEATER, starring Tsutomu Yamazaki. The new starring role is Ken Watanabe, who was also on the cast at the 1985 performance.
This work is a story centered on the conquest of the Inca Empire, in which the Spanish general Pissarro captured the king of the Inca Empire alive with 167 soldiers, but Ken Watanabe at the time of 1985 enthusiastically performed Atahualpa, the king of Inca. This time, at Atahualpa, a new and sophisticated Miyazawa ice fish, which combines delicateness and boldness, was selected.
When Ken Watanabe says, "PARCO THEATER is an epoch theater in my actor's life," Miyazawa says, "There is pressure, but I want to try it with my body while enjoying it." And by the gorgeous casts who solidify their sides, a masterpiece called the "legendary stage" is revived.

Presented by leading Japanese actors and directors, the future lineup suitable for engraving the new history of PARCO THEATER.
Starting with the first "Pissarro", the opening series will continue until May 2021.
