An installation where you can experience the world view of Daniel Arsham's work concept "Fictional Archeology" will be unveiled for the first time in the world.

New York-based artist Daniel Arsham's new solo exhibition "Relics of Kanto Through Time" will be held at PARCO MUSEUM TOKYO (Shibuya PARCO 4F). This exhibition is an art project by Nanzuka curation, and the first collaboration with Pokemon contemporary artists is realized. This exhibition is held at the same time as the exhibition at the collaboration studio 2G of Shibuya PARCO 2F. At the front entrance of Shibuya PARCO 1F, a bronze “Pikachu” of about 2m size is installed as a public art.

Various Pokemon representing the world of "Pokemon Red / Green" excavated in 3020 AD, fossilized and crystal crystals can be seen from inside.

It is a work with a four-dimensional context with the concept of time by imagining the time required to recognize and fossilize in the three-dimensional world through a two-dimensional world.

A space that crosses space and space.
Crystallized quiet and beautiful shine.

On the day of the reception, Pikachu also appeared. We deliver photos with the state of the guests who met their favorite Pokemon.

■NANZUKA

Established in 2005 in Shibuya, Tokyo under the name of NANZUKAUNDERGROUND as an experimental gallery aiming to connect pop culture and contemporary art. Since then, he has been working as an academic gallery that deals with creativity in peripheral fields such as design, illustration, street, manga, fashion, music, etc. Until now, he has re-evaluated talents that have been appreciated outside the Japanese art scene for many years, such as Keiichi Tanaami, Hajime Sorayama, Harumi Yamaguchi, and Toshio Saeki, and strives to introduce them on the international stage of contemporary art. In 2019, the "Tokyo Pop Underground" exhibition in collaboration with prominent American gallerist Jeffery Deitch has become a major international topic as an exhibition that unravels the abyss of Japanese art in a new framework. At the same time, he also focuses on fostering and supporting young and middle-level artists from Japan and overseas, and holds exhibitions of leading artists from overseas in Japan, embodies the present day of the global art scene.
