A solo exhibition by Aiku Kurotaki (Aic Kurotaki), who won the P.O.N.D. AWARD 2024 Grand Prix, will be held at GALLERY X BY PARCO in Shibuya PARCO B1F.
Mr. Kurotaki sublimates the primitive form of us and existence, such as "Existence and Absence", "Micro and Macro", "0 and 1" and "Yes and No", using micro-materials called fibers, to sculptures. While traveling back and forth between the multilayered layers between the opposite worlds, we draw doubts and new perspectives on the existence of human beings in today and the world we perceive. In this exhibition, in addition to the masterpiece "Human" series, large-scale installation works will be exhibited for the first time. In addition, we will also sell exhibited works and goods at the venue, so please drop in.

In this exhibition, we will develop a human image trying to break away from constraints using the masterpiece "Human" series, and at the same time, we will present a large installation as a new challenge.

<P.O.N.D.> is an art and culture event held in Shibuya PARCO. The predecessor was the "Shibukull Festival" which has been held since 2011. In 2020, we took over the philosophy of "Discovering and Supporting New Talents" and started a new project as <P.O.N.D.> The name implies the idea of "Parco Opens New Dimension" and is a place where the talent and energy of creators of a wide range of genres such as art, fashion, music, and video are overflowing.
P.O.N.D. started in 2024 AWARD selects one person from the exhibitors by the votes of the viewer.
This award will be given to award-winning artists to hold solo exhibitions in the following year as a prize.

                      Aiku Kurotaki (AIKU KUROTAKI)
Born in 2000. Based in Kanagawa and Tokyo.
Graduated from Tokyo Zokei University's Textile Design Department. In April 2024, he held his first solo exhibition at SOM GALLERY.
Focusing on the modeling of textiles that create a three-dimensional structure by intersecting fibers, he created a three-dimensional work using a combination of warp and weft through manual work. In his masterpiece, "Human" series, by confining humans in a frame composed of regular thread arrangement, we highlight the patterned modern society and human thinking. Through his work, he attempts to highlight the emptiness of modern society and the human perspective that he perceives, and lead people to freedom from algorithms.
